Bespoke Custom Products
All number plates supplied by Premium Plates are custom-made to your exact specifications and are therefore bespoke products. As each plate is manufactured specifically for your vehicle registration, we are unable to offer returns or refunds on correctly manufactured plates due to change of mind or no longer required.
Damaged, Defective, or Missing Items
We take great care in manufacturing and packaging your number plates. However, if you receive plates that are:
Cracked, scratched, or broken
Wrong registration, spacing, or defects
Ordered 2 plates but received 1, missing fixings
You maybe entitled to a FREE replacement or FULL refund
Reporting Timeframe - 24 Hours
You must report any issues within 24 hours of delivery.
This allows us to address the issue quickly, replace your plates in time for any MOT or legal deadlines, investigate with our courier if damage occurred in transit, and maintain our quality standards.
How to Report an Issue
To report a damaged, defective, or missing item, please email us immediately with:
1. Your Order Details
- Order number
- Delivery address
- Date received
2. Clear Photographs Showing:
- The entire plate showing the damage or defect
- Close-up of the specific issue (crack, scratch, incorrect letter, etc.)
- The quality control label (attached to the plate or packaging) IMPORTANT
- The packaging (if damage appears to be courier-related)
- Missing items (what you received vs. what was ordered)
3. Description of the Issue
Brief explanation of what's wrong (e.g., "Front plate has a crack across the middle", "Registration shows AB12 CDE instead of AB12 CDF", "Only received 1 plate instead of 2")
Our Response
Once we receive your report with photographs:
Within 2 Working Days
- We will review your claim
- Confirm whether the issue is covered
- Arrange a free replacement or issue a full refund
Replacement Dispatch
- Dispatched same day or next working day
- Free standard delivery (or express if originally ordered)
- No additional cost to you
Refund Processing
- If you prefer a refund instead of replacement
- Processed within 3-5 working days
- Returned to your original payment method
Quality Control Labels
Every plate we manufacture has a quality control label attached. This helps us:
- Trace the specific manufacturing batch
- Identify if the issue was production or courier-related
- Improve our quality control processes

After 24 Hours
Claims reported after 24 hours will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We may still be able to help, but cannot guarantee free replacement if damage could have occurred after delivery, plates have been fitted to vehicle, or plates show signs of use or wear.
What's NOT Covered
We cannot offer returns, replacements, or refunds for:
- × Change of mind after ordering
- × Incorrect registration entered by customer at checkout
- × Plates ordered for wrong vehicle
- × Minor cosmetic variations (slight colour differences between batches)
- × Damage caused after delivery or during fitting
- × Plates that have been fitted to a vehicle
- × Issues reported more than 24 hours after delivery (unless exceptional circumstances)

Legal Rights
This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. If you believe you have received faulty goods, you have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
